Land occupied by the Army released yesterday in Mullaitheevu

One lot of lands under the control of the Army was released yesterday. Permits were issued to 1,350 owners of the above lands.

This event was held yesterday at Mullaitheevu Vidyanantha College. Out of the more than 600 acre which were occupied by the Army 243 acre were handed over by the Commanding Officer of the Mulaitheevu security Forces, to the District Secretary, Mulaitheevu, Mrs. Rupawathy Ketrheeswaran.

The permits for these lands were handed over to the beneficiaries yesterday. The permits for 1,350 persons belonging to six Divisional Secretaries’ areas of Mulaitheevu District who have hitherto not obtained the permits, were granted in this event.

Livelihood assistances worth Rs.100,000/= each were given to 300 persons in this event. The Technology Lab constructed under Mahindha Chinthanaya, at the Vidyanantha College, was declared open by  TNA, MP, T.Sitharthan.

Parliamentarians, T.Sitharthan, S.Sivamohan, NPC Deputy Leader of the House, Kamaleswaran, MPc , K.Sivanesan, Vanni Coordinator of the President, Praba Kanesan, IGP, Pujith Jayasunthara, Commanding Officer of SF- Mulaitheevu and   District Secretary participated in this event.
