Letters of prelates to CM, Sampanthan and Mawai with 3 suggestions

The prelates, Jaffna Bishop and Chief Priest of Nallai Aatheenam,  who were engaged in staving off the crisis which centred on the NPC had sent individual copies of a letter with three suggestions in the solution of the current crisis.

Hon. Dears,

We as Religious Leaders, on our understanding from interaction with our people regarding the current crisis with the PC at its centre, and on the basis of the necessity of discussing with the responsible people and find an appropriate and people welfare related solution, we place before you the following suggestions :

  1. We request that during the investigation, the Ministers exonerated from charge should be allowed carry on their duties. And reciprocally they should cooperate with the investigation without posing any hindrance. As responsible representatives of the people the member and the party leaders should cooperate to conduct the investigation properly. Only by this Good Governance could be brought to the NPC.
  1. All should cooperate make the NPC led by the CMK, C.V.Wigneswaran to run efficiently
  2. The No-Confidence Motion handed over to the Governor should be withdrawn and the withdrawal duly confirmed

We request that without degenerating the political power acquired by the Tamil people, relevant factions should with compromise, understanding accept the above recommendations and take appropriate action.
