Management Faculty in Thirunelvely converted to Army quarantine centre

The Faculty of Management of the University of Jaffna, located at the milk farm in Thirunelvely  has been converted to Army quarantine centre to quarantine Army men returning from leave. Earlier the Kopay Educational College was to be converted into Army Quarantine centre. However, due to the opposition of the area people and the lack of facilities, this plan was abandoned.

In this context, action has been taken to convert the Faculty of Management into Army quarantine Centre . In the first stage, arrangements have been made to bring 100 Army men to this centre.

Dean of the faculty of Commerce, Dr. Velnamby said he had not been informed of this move.

Another quarantine at Chavakchcheri  Driberg College

Following the spread of Corona among Security Forces men, Army is taking action to quarantine all soldiers who have gone on leave. Accordingly, a quarantine Centre has been established at the  above school. 70 Army men had been brought to this Centre yesterday night, it is learnt.
