Medical Students of University of Jaffna offer services to Corona affected

People of the North have been seriously affected by the Corona threat and ensuing imposition of the curfew. With a view to this the students of the Medical faculty of University of Jaffna have come forward to various assistance to people affected by the current situation.

Understanding the needs of the people in the present context, senior students of the Medical faculty have volunteered to collect funds with the help of former students and other well wishers.

They have purchased dry rations for the low income people, with the funds they have collected  and started to distributing them, identifying needy people with the help of Divisional Secretaries, Grama Officers and Health Services officials. So far they have issued dry rations to 1,500 families in different areas. It is notable that they have provided dry rations to families in areas such as Mulaitheevu and  Kiklinochchi.
