Military Intervention had declined: Mawai Senathyrajah

” In the past, the intervention of the Military in Civil affairs was much more than that should be. But there is declination in it now. That had lessened but, not non-existent. Just because there is a good governance, it cannot be said that, all had turned in a good direction.”, said the TNA MP and one of the Co-chairs of the Jaffna District Coordinating Committee, Mawai Senathyrasa, in the District Coordinating committee meeting yesterday.

He further said, We all should join hands to build up our destroyed Nation. These Coordinating Committee meetings are very helpful in it.

The meeting of the Donors for North and Eat re to be held soon. The Government had submitted proposals for it. We have opposed this. We have raised question with the Prime Minister, as to how they could submit proposals without asking us. Because of our protest, the EU representative had asked us to submit proposals. The decisions taken in these Coordinating Committee Meetings will help in submitting these proposals, he said.
