The UN Secretary General, Ban-ki-Moon who is on a visit to Sri Lanka met yesterday several factions in Colombo including the President Maithripala Sirisena, will proceed to Jaffna and meet several Tamil factions in order to find out the current positions of the Tamil factions.
Ban-kee- Moon who visited Miyanmar on Tuesday, on the first leg of journey to Asian Countries came to Sri Lanka on Wednesday . Coming to Palaly at around 10.00 a.m., will meet the Governor in his office and will follow it with a meeting with the CM, C.V.Wigneswaran. Then he will meet the Leader of TNA and Leader of opposition Era Sampanthan and the MPs of TNA at the Jaffna Library premises.
Although the visits to the IDP camps is not schedules in the itinerary, Later he will meet the IDPs in welfare camps, Colombo sources said.
Meanwhile attention drawing protest will be held in front the Jaffna Library, organized by TNPF and Myliddy resettlement group, the location of which is not known.
