Muslims in struggle demanding to close down the Kalmunai North Divisional Secretariat

Tamil people have engaged in  fasting struggle demanding that the Kalmunai North DS should be upgraded. In this context, Muslims of Kalmunai have gone into another struggle demanding the rights of the Tamils should not be granted and the Kalmunai DS, which is operating illegally be closed down.

A complaint also has been made with Kalmunai Police Head Quarters demanding the struggle of the Tamils be stopped.

Warnings have been made that due to the struggles of the two opposing factions, untoward incidents may happen in Kalmunai and neighboring areas. Because of this heavy security arrangements had been made in Kalmunai, the Police said.

The struggle of the Muslims is being led by the Chairman of the Kalmunai TC, A.M.Rawheep  and former Member, Areep Samsudeen.
