The Eastern Chief Minister Naseer Ahamed has supported 20th amendment so as to remain in the CM’s post, said the CM, NPC, C.V.Wigneswaran. He was answering the question of a journalist during the Media Conference held at the CM’s Secretariat located at Kaithady.
Solution for some basic problems of the Tamils could only be reached by securing a permanent political solution, he also said. If the 20th amendment is passed, the terms of some PCs which should be dissolved had to be increased. The Eastern CM may have supported the 20th in anticipation of remaining in his post.
The Eastern CM is seems to listening to the orders of his Party. Even now our economically strategic locations are under the control of the Army. Because of this there exists a situation where we are unable to develop our Tourist Sector and self employment sector. Apart from this, the names of villages have been changed into Sinhal Names. These should be changed back into Tamil names he said.
