National Level Inter school  Football Championship – Samaposa Championship clinched by Mahajana

The Samaposa Championship Cup for National Level Inter-school Under 14 Girls’ Foot Ball tournament was won by Mahajana College, Thellipalai.

In this final match conducted at the Colombo Race Course Grounds, day before yesterday Mahajana Girls were pitted against Pollonnaruwa Panthiwewa MV.

Pollonaruwa Girls led 1:0 at the lemons. However after the lemons, Mahajana played with a determination and Lionsika scored thrilling Goal to bring the score 1:1.

Following the match ending in 1:1 draw, the Mahajana girls scored 4:3 in the tie-breaker and lifted off the Championship Cup.
