National Medals and colours awards won by Northern Students
The National Schools Track & Field Sports festival began yesterday at the Bogambara grounds in Kandy.
In the under 19 Pole vault event, Thellipalai Mahajana College won the Silver and Chavakachcheri Hindu College won the Bronze in the same event.
Srikantharasa Dilany of Mahajana College polevaulted to a height of 2.80 M to win the Silver.
P.Kirija of Chavakachcheri Hindu College pole vaulted to 2.70M to win the Bronze.
In the under 17 High Jump event,
Chandrakumar Herina cleared 1.50 M to clinch the Bronze.
Hardley College, Point Pedro students won colours certificates in the Discuss throw in the Nation Schools Track & Field Sports Festival in the Under 17 group.
Abishanth threw the Discus to 47.97 M to win the 4th place and the Colours Certificate.
Ananth threw the Discus to 46.50 M to win the 7th place and the Colours Certificate.
Abiram threw the discus to 47.97 M to win the 4th place and the Colours Certificate.
