Commenting on the meeting afterwards, the relatives said, several people were helpful to us in we ourselves tracing our missing relatives and to pressurize the government to trace them. In that way the prelates are acting with concern on us and advising us. It has given us strength. Their cooperation is very essential for our continuous struggles and tracing our children. It is on this basis we met and had discussions with the Mannar Bishop.
Whenever we wandered in our endeavor to trace our children they had been always of mammoth help. Their cooperation and support is very essential for our next stage of action.
The promise given in the meeting with the President had not been fulfilled. We are waiting for that. We want to take our problem to the international level and give pressure to the Government, they said.
