Neurosurgery in Jaffna after 30 years

For the first time after the 30-years war, a successful neuro surgery had been performed yesterday at the Jaffna Teaching Hospital Jaffna.

A team of Doctors led by Specialist Neuro surgeon  Dr.Sanjeewa Karausinghe had performed this operation.

This operation was performed in a state of the art Operation Theatre constructed at a cost of 250 Million and such operations will be performed on one day each week said, the Acting. Director of the Hospital, Dr. Sri Pavanantharajah.  He also said that there will be no need for people to travel to Colombo for such operations.
