P.Ropika , the Palmyrah Board Researcher in conjunction with Professor P. Navaratnam has been successful in devising a new technology for preserving sweet toddy for a long time, without adding any chemicals to it. From ancient times, it has been considered that it is impossible to preserve Sweet toddy for long time.
This success was revealed in the at the meeting of the Research consultation Board meeting held on the 8th of this month. The Chairman of the Palmyrah Development Board, N.Rasenthiran participated in the meeting.
Bio –Chemical Technology has been exclusively used in this technology. The Palmyrah Development Board and the Coconut and Palmyrah Development Cooperative Societies have been gladdened by this discovery.
