No benefits to Tamil from past agreements: Minister of State for Education, Rathakrishnan

No benefits were reaped by the Tamils from the agreements made by the Sri Lanka Government and the solution expected by the Tamils also was not delivered to them. An opportunity is created by the current Government. We should utilize this chance  without dropping it, Rathkrishnan, the State Minister for Education.

Class rooms and rest rooms for Principals were declared open yesterday. The State Minister said as above, participating in this event. At the outset of racial conflicts, Banda- Selva agreement was opposed by Sinhalese. further Dudley – Selva agreement, Indo-Lanka agreement and at the final years of the war Ranil- LTTE agreement were made, but nothing was gained by Tamils from all four agreements. Now we should take all efforts to utilize the chance offered from the government created jointly by Tamils and Sinhalese. The opportunity for solving ethnic conflict had come, he said.

Several people including the Members of NPC, V.Sivayogan, M.K.Sivajilingam, K.Tharmalingam, K.Sarveswaran, NP Director of Education, E.Uthayakumar, and Director of Education, Vadamaradchchi, N.Nanthakumar, participated in this event presided by the School Principal, E.Muhunthan.
