No more delay please: Intervening is your righteous duty: A request to India, UN, and Co- Chairs by Wigneswaran

The Leader of  Tamizh Makkal Thesya Kootanii and the former Chief Minister of the Northern Provincial Council, Justice C.V.Wigneswaran, while requesting that India, International Community and the UN should not be unconcerned spectators while Tamil people who are one of the ancient people of the world, is being subjected to deliberate genocide and thereby being destroyed without a trace, in this 21st Century in  which civilization has grown, laws and acts have been institutionalized and the Information Technology has  developed much, he has also criticized that the countries that had intervened our in our problem and those countries which offered to mediate when the war was in progress, is committing a grave mistake keeping away after abandoning us in a dangerous situation, after the end of the war.

Wigneswaran has said so while speaking to the gathering after publishing the Election Manifesto of the  Tamizh Makkal Thesya Kootanii, yesterday Sunday at the Vavuniya Town Council’s Cultural Hall.

In a context where, a Genocide is being continuously perpetrated against the Tamil people, all the agreements made were being continuously torn off by the Governments, and the government is placing a blind and irresponsible opinion that there is no ethnic problem in the country, we are requesting through our Election Manifesto, the international Community to conduct a referendum in order to reach a permanent solution to the problems of the Tamil People, said Wigneswaran.

Insisting the  Co-chair countries which provided sponsorship for the Peace Negotiations,  in conjunction with India have a righteous responsibility to make a significant intervention, Wigneswaran requested that if there will be delay in bringing in a solution on the basis of a referendum, to speedily bring in a Interim solution with international supervision and prevent the human rights violations and these countries should take action to empower our people who have been affected by the war.
