12,487 million Rupees were spent on providing electricity under “ Northern Spring” scheme. 6,759 million were spent on installation of two power stations along Jaffna – Vavuniya power grid and making the main wire connections. Although 19,246 million had been spent on regularizing the electricity supply in the last six years from 2009, but 9% are still without electricity, the report said.
