No Law in any country banning the remembering the death, says Gajendran

Th relatives of the persons killed in war have the right to remember them. Neither there is a provision  banning  their remembrance in the Laws of this country nor in International Law, said the TNPF MP Gajendran.

In a context where the Shramadhana work in the Vannivilankulam Thuyilumillam in Mulaitheevu district being undertaken he came there to participate in it and later commented as above.

He further said that when they came by the road, they observed that the Police and Army had been massed in them and people intimidated away from participating in the Shramadhana.

The relatives of persons killed in war have the right to remember them. There is no provision in the law to prevent it, he said.

It is notable that the Army Commander Lt.Gen. Shavendra Silve has announced that remembering Maveerars cannot be allowed.
