No progress possible in Sri Lanka without Reconciliation, says Chandrika Kumaranathunga in Jaffna

A former President, Chandrika Kumaranathunga said in Jaffna yesterday that no progress could be made in Sri Lanka without reconciliation . We could develop the country only if we all work without discrimination of Tamils and Sinhalese,she further said.

The Dawn of Peaceful New Year – National Reconciliation New Year Festival event organized by the Ministry of National Reconciliation in conjunction with was held in Jaffna Duraiappah Stadium, yesterday.

Chandrika Kumaranathunga participated as the Chief Guest in this event which commenced at 9.00 a.m. Food items reflecting Tamil and Sinhala cultures were served , cultural events performed in this event.

Several people including, former President Chandrika Kumaranathunga, members of Parliament,Governor of Northern Province Jaffna District Secretary, officials and the public.
