Why no quarantine centre established at deserted Mathala Air port? Queries Wigneswaran
Former Chief Minister and the General Secretary of the Tamil Makkal Koottani, Justice C.V. Wigneswaran has queried as to why no quarantine centre had been established at the deserted Mathala Air port, with so much of facilities and why Military Corona suspects are being brought into Tamil areas instead of taking them to Mathala.
Some activities undertaken by the Government to control Corona are causing much fear and suspicion among the Tamil people. A question rises here as to whether the establishment of Corona quarantine centres amidst Tamil people has a hidden agenda of spreading the virus among the Tamil people or this is revealing the laying of a basis for a future Dictatorship rule in the country, he had asked.
In a context where the deserted Mathala Air Port consists of several facilities to house a quarantine centre, bringing of the Military Corona suspects to Tamil areas raises a crucial question. It seems that there are political reasons behind this. The Government has the duty to clarify these matters, he had said.
