Following the promise by the Northern Governor to solve the problem of the graduates without state employment within 3 weeks, action has been taken to register graduates without state employment, said the coordinating Committee of the Graduates without State employment Society.
The Northern Province Graduates without state employment continued their struggle for state employment for the 16th day yesterday.
In this context, The NPC Leader of the House, C.V.K.Sivagnanam, NPC Minister of Health P.Sathyalingam and MPc Akilathas, along with the representatives of Northern Province Graduates without state employment met the Northern Governor, Reginold Cooray in his office yesterday regarding the above matter.
During this meeting, the Governor had said that after the end of the war the Government machinery was not in order and action is being taken to put it in order now. So no particulars of Northern Province Graduates without state employment were registered. Action is being taken get this done now. This has to be done in Central Province also. This will take at least 3 weeks. I will give a due reply in 3 weeks and he had requested the graduates to keep patience and give up the struggle.
However, the Northern Province Graduates without state employment said that, as per an overall decision, the struggle will be continued till we get a proper reply.
