Not going to intervene in the EPC affairs: President tells TNA
President Maithripala had said that he is not going to intervene in the crisis that had developed between the TNA and SLMC , as to who will form the government. TNA leader Sampanthan and M.A. Sumanthiran had met the President yesterday night, regarding the situation which had been developed in the Eastern Province.
The president, accepting the opinions put forward by Sampanthan had said that he could understand the fairness the TNA has in that it should form the government. However he had said that he is not going to intervene in the affairs of Provincial Councils and that the parties concerned must solve the problems among themselves.
