Not all, of those taken away by Tigers did return alive, Sumanthiran concludes

There are pressures on the Government with regard to the matters of Missing Persons and releasing people in the prison. When the people in North say that, they handed over their relatives to the Army, opinions that, punishment is to be meted out to the Army rises in the South, said TNA Spokesman and MP, M.A.Sumanthiran.

He had stated this in an interview granted to a foreign media. Commenting further he had said, a solution for the problem of the missing persons could be accessible only through the Office for Missing Persons. There are provisions for International Investigation in this Act. ICRC had consented to be of assistance in this regard.

In a recent report I read that a mother as  saying that the Tigers took her child. The mother herself is saying this. Hence,  not  all, of those who were taken away by Tigers had returned alive. Therefore, truth should be found out regarding missing persons. Not only about those who had been taken away by the Army but also about who had gone missing in other ways, he had said.
