Omanthai Security checkpoint removed

The Army Check Point at Omanthai that has been in operation for years has now been removed, reports say. It has been in operation since Jayasikuru Operation by the Army.

Vauniya District Secretary Bandula Harishchandra in this regard, he confirmed the removal of the checkpoint from the said location.

He added that the public has now been given the opportunity to travel on the said route without any intervention.
