P2P rally moving towards Polikandy after paying homage at Thiyagi Thileepan Memorial

The non-violent march “From Pottuvil to Polikandy (P2P”  has reached the Tiyaga Deepam Dileep Memorial located in Nallur, Jaffna. The rally moves towards Polikandy after paying homage by lighting a torch at the memorial.

The rally was welcomed by a large crowd in the Chemmani Nallur area. Jaffna District Archbishop Rev. Jeparatnam participated in the reception.

Earlier, when  the rally reached University of Jaffna, the soil collected at Mullivaikkal by the rally participants, was handed over to the University Union. This soil was brought in to be placed in a memorial to be rebuilt at the Mullivaikkal memorial that was demolished a few weeks ago at the university.
