A letter had been sent to the Director of the Civil Aviation Services insisting to take over the above lands. This letter had been sent on the basis of the Prime Minister saying to solve the problem of land acquisition negotiating with the relevant institution.
The lands for the Airport were taken over by the Civil Aviation Department. Altogether 456 lots of lands in extent of 349 acre 3roots 35.9 Perches. He had also pointed out that the Security Forces should hand over this much of lands the CM had demanded. The Secretary to Defence should be requested that All lands acquired under Emergency Regulations by the Army should be handed over to the Director immediately, the CM had pointed out in this letter.
After the lands are handed over to the Director, Indian Government should be contacted over the extent of land necessary for the Airport and keeping that much of lands with the Director, balance lands should be handed over to the legal owners of the lands. If additional lands are needed action should be taken freshly to acquire such lands. As the original acquisition was under taken by Civil Aviation Department, it has the duty of acquiring further lands. The lands that are in possession of the Army are illegally acquired by them, he had written.
