Palaly Airport renamed Jaffna International Air Port
The Palaly Air Port has been re-named Jaffna International Air Port. In the context of 4 International Airports already operating in Sri Lanka Jaffna International Air Port join them as the 5th International Air port.
The proposal made by Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Arjuna Ranathunga had been approved by the cabinet it is reported by the Media unit of the Ministry.
Operations of the Air Port are expected to commence by the 17th of this month.
