An officer of the Palmyrah Research Centre in Kaithady said that the Palmyrah Development Board is currently engaged in producing Palmyra fruit cream added ice cream, in the Palmyrah Research Centre at Kaithady.
This innovative project is being undertaken with a view to modernizing and Mraketing Palmyrah products.
He further said that not only ice cream but it is intended to produce Yougurt type products also from palmyrah cream.If this experimental effort bear fruit Palmyrah ice cream will be in market.
Normally either milk or milk powder is used for icecream. We are trying use Palmyrah cream in their place. The Research Centre at Kaithady had given momentum for efforts to produce more palmyrah based food products, he said
