People forced to disappear – protest rally tomorrow

The  relatives of the Missing persons in the North and East have announced that a protest rally will be held tomorrow at 10.00 a.m. at Vavuniya old Bus stand in order to give pressure to the Human Rights Commission insisting the Sri Lankan Government should put forward a due solution regarding the missing persons and to a speedy justice be delivered regarding the Mannar Mass Grave. They have also requested that all factions should provide their support to make this protest a successful one.

The 40th UNHRC session is to be held in March this year. The Sri Lankan Government should place forward due solution without delay.

We undertaking the protest calling the countries in the UNHRC  to exert pressure on Sri Lanka to put forward a due solution relevant to Missing persons and deliver speedy justice regarding Mannar Mass Grave.

Hence, all Civil Organizations and people’s representatives should give us their indiscriminate cooperation, strengthening our struggle they have said.

They have also requested that the support should be given not only in Sri Lanka but also internationally. Especially all religious dignitaries should support our struggle they have said.
