People made to disappear living abroad, says Minister Keheliya Rambukwela
The persons who are being described as persons made to disappear during the war period and during war by Tamil people have taken visas and currently living abroad, said Media Minister, Keheliya Rambukwela, in Jaffna.
The Minister a visit to Jaffna said as above in a media conference, held at the District Secretariat, Jaffna.
Elaborating further he said, the Tamil people have been affected severe during the 30 years war. 30 years is a difficult period. We have received some information on persons said to be missing and killed. Especially some of those who are said to be missing have taken visas and living abroad. Some of them have given false addresses. The number of persons killed in the war is varying with each report about it. Hence, an evidential report has to be prepared, he said.
When the Minister described Thileepan as a terrorist, a media man got up and in backlash, “Thileepan may be a terrorist for you. But he is martyr for us.” when this was translated to the minister, he just said it is his opinion and kept mum.
