People who went to resettle disappointed, lands released in pieces, houses demolished & only 20% are residential

The people who went to inspect their land which were promised to be released were disappointed badly, as only 20% of their lands were seemed to be released. All others are inhabitable by them. Although 590 acre in 8 GS Divisions were released for resettlement yesterday, habitable lands were released in small lots and only around 50 families registered for resettlement, and the others returned with disappointment.

S.Kanthasamy pillai (aged 74) from Veemankamam,Palai, had fainted on hearing that his house had been demolished by the Army. His wife who went to see their lands said that the house had been demolished to ground level and Army camp constructed on it.
