The TNA MP and spokesman M.A. Sumanthiran said yesterday that some people may try to split Tamil and Muslim people using, the misshapes that had occurred in the country recently.
He was participating in a discussion for the Rapid Rural Development program held at the Chavakachcheri Cultural Hall, when he said this.
Elaborating further he said that everybody should understand that a change had occurred in the Defence situation in the country. We should stay aloof from unwanted matter. The Majority community achieved many things by keeping Tamil and Muslim people separate. They will hesitate to instigate Tamil people against Muslim people. We should be careful about it. They have used this situation to push the solution proposals for the ethnic prom to the rear.
New challenges have appeared not only for the Government but also for the Tamil community. Intrigues are underway to push back important matters to the back, he said.
