Persons in contact with Swiss pastor gone into hiding- Requested to volunteer for medical Tests.

The Director of Northern Province Health Services Department, A. Ketheeswaran said yesterday that, some persons who have had close contact with the Swiss pastor who had held a service at Ariyalai Church and attended the service had gone into hiding without subjecting themselves to isolation.

He said so in a press conference held at the Jaffna Teaching hospital yesterday. He also said that although around 325 persons had been isolated and subjected to tests, few more had avoided being isolated.

He further said that although some people had no Corona symptoms had been confirmed to have infected by Corona. Hence he requested that to safeguard themselves and the society, those who have gone into hiding should volunteer for isolation.

He informed further that medical test are being performed on people isolated at Thavady and that medical tests will follow for persons isolated at Poompugar.
