Police and Land powers should be given to Provincial Council : CM, EPC
All due powers including The police and Land powers should be given to the Provincial Council. Then Only, we ourselves will be able to solve our problems, said the CM, Eastern Provincial Council Habis Naseer Ahmed.
He was addressing the gathering at the inauguration of the Mobile Services of the Provincial Council, at the Batticaloa Municipal Council.
Elaborating further he said ,87% of the total allocations to the EPC is spent on wages. We have to think of any development work in the balance 13%.. We are to take actions to make the people receive the benefits of Political power acquired by the PC. Although we are boasting of a Provincial Council, how much of political power is granted to us is a big question.
We will be taking all possible action to make the 13th amendment implemented fully. All due powers including Police and Land powers should be given to the PC ,he said.
