Pongal Festival in university of Jaffna

Thai Pongal, the traditional feast was held in grand scale at the university premises, Organised by the Arts Faculty students federation. Students of all years, of the Arts Faculty participated enthusiastically  in this event.

 Competitions in Traditional games like cart race , breaking the pot, Tug-of -war, Kite Flying etc. were held. It is notable that in a conjuncture of Traditional events being in the decline, the Arts faculty students had organised this event.
