Prevented from going into Agriculture Land. Bhikku’s outrage in Trincomalee

A Bhikku member of the Eastern Archaeological Task Force has banned Tamil people going into their own agricultural Lands, in  Thiriyai Village in Kutchavely DS Division of the Trincomalee District, where they have traditionally undertaken agriculture. This Bhikku has said that the agricultural lands in the villages of Aaththikaadu,Neeravikkandal,Pallappavankai,Paddanipathy, Pavalankandal and Kanthappan vayal are archaeological sites and had threatened that he jail all who will enter these lands.

The threatening Bhikku is a member of the Eastern Archaeological Commission appointed recently by the President.

The farmers so threatened have abstained from going into their paddy fields.
