When providing employment opportunities relevant to the Palaly AirPort Northern people will be given priority, said the Minister of transport and Civil Aviation, Arjuna Ranatunga. He further said that local aviation companies will be given priorities in providing air services to be commence from Palaly to India in October 2019.
The Minister inspected the development work at Palaly Air Port yesterday and he later participated in the review meeting of the development work undertaken at the Palaly Air Port, held at, Jaffna District Secretariat.
Elaborating further he said that, the first stage of the Development work at Palaly will be completed on October 10th and the Air Services are expected to commence on October 16th. Kattunayaka, Mattala, Ratmalana and Baticaloa are to be developed into International Airport. International Services will be started linking these Air Ports as a Zone, he said.
