The public accused that although lands in Vali North Myliddy were announced to have been released, they were not properly handed over to the people. The army fences are still standing in the so called released area, they said.
An event to hand over 4.44 acre land to owners was held on 6th of this month. On that day it was announced that 2.75 acre land consisting of Myliddy Kalaimakal Vidyalayam,Kurumpasiddy RDS , Kurumpasiddy CC and 11.19 acre at Aanaikkoddai were released on that day.
Although the Kalamakal Vidyalayam released, land around was not released the Army fences and camps are still standing. People had demanded that the Army camps around the school be removed and the land handed over to people.
Only one of the five buildings of the School standing, the people said. Grounds is being used by the Army still.
All Army facilities around the school should be removed and educational activities should be recommenced, the people said.
