Minister Rishad Badiuddeen requested in the Parliament to renovate Eluvankulam Road, so that the travelling from Colombo to Jaffna may be shortened by 120 Km. The renovation of Elavankulam Road was suspended due to the conspiracy of selfish persons. Action should be taken to renovate this road, he said.
If this road is renovated, one could travel from Colombo, Puttalam, Mannar, Maruchchukaddi and through Sangupiddy bridge to Jaffna. By this travel distance will be shorten by 120 Km, Travel time will be reduced to 5 hours. People will be benefited and wastage will be minimized and this will help the economy to develop. The Tamil MPs should also request this from the Government, he said.
