Re-examine the 65,000 house project immediately, the NPC write to President and Prime Minister

The Northern Provincial Council has written to the President.Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister , Ranil Wickremasinghe  and the Minister of Resettlement to re-exmine the 65,000 houses scheme immediately. The Leader of the House, C.V.K.Sivagnanam hd sent this letter on behalf of the NPC.

The Minister of Resettlement had initiated this project without consulting the NPC, amidst severe opposition from Tamil factions His action had been severely criticized at the last sitting of the NPC and a resolution was passed asking to stop the housing scheme immediately and to re-examine this project. Copies of this letter had been sent to the CM and the Northern Governor.
