Relatives of Missing cry their heart out all over Tamil homeland

In view of the “ International Day for People made to Disappear” , the relatives of missing from the 8 Districts of North and East, held massive and heart rendering attention drawing rallies yesterday in all 8 districts in the Tamil Homeland.

In Jaffna, the rally started at the Jaffna Central Bus stand and ended at the District Secretariat, Jaffna. The strugglers carried placards with slogans including the following:

* We want justice!

* Where are our kins made to disappear?

*Where are our kins we handed over to the Army?

* Gota Government, where are our relatives you abducted?

When the rally reached the District Secretariat, the inherent feeling of mothers and others were expressed openly through their sky scraping cries for their loved ones. During this a frustrated mother tried to strangle herself but save by the others.

In the context of around 72 relatives have died in the course of their vigil for their loved ones, this mother’s sorrow pushed the others in to more sorrow.
