An eight member team of the relatives of the Missing persons in Northern and Eastern Provinces met the Northern Governor, Dr. Suren Ragavan and handed over a memorandum.
The president Maithripala Sirisena had included Dr. Suren Ragavan in the three member team that will represent Sri Lanka in the Geneva sessions now in progress.
In this context, the Governor had earlier announced that anything he should speak in Geneva about Tamil People be given to him in writing.
Accordingly, an 8-member team of Relatives of the Missing persons of the North and East, met the Governor , yesterday, the public’s day of the governor, at the Northern Provincial Council’s CM‘s Ministry and handed over a memorandum. Further they had also expressed their opinions verbally.
Several demands including
* Name list of the Missing persons should be published.
* Details of persons in detention camps and prisons should be published.
* We are rejecting the OMP, had been included in the said memorandum.
