The special JMO in charge of the excavations at the Mass Grave at Sathosa premises in Mannar, Dr. Chamintha Rajapakse said that, the Official Report on the skeletons recovered from the Mass grave had been received by the Mannar Court.
Suspicious skeletons recovered from the Mass Grave at Sathosa premises were sent to Florida, America, for carbon dating last month.
Although the results were expected in two weeks, it had been received as a legal document by the court only yesterday, said the special JMO.
Saying that he cannot give any details of the report officially, he requested that anyone interested in the results could obtain them through Mannar Courts.
Decisions on, as to whether to continue excavations or not could be taken only after holding discussions with the Judge, responsible officers and representatives of relevant Offices, he said.
It is notable that 335 human remains have been identified in the Mass Grave and 318 complete human remains of them have been removed for safe storage.
