Request for the construction of Light Houses at four points in Delft

The Divisional Secretary of Delf Sathiyasothy said that a request had been made for the construction of Light Houses in Delft.

Around 700 fishermen are engaged in Delft a difficult area in Jaffna District.

In this context the fishermen who go for fishing in the night find it very difficult to return to the shores, especially in rough weather. They have requested that Light Houses be constructed in important places.

He further said that requests had been made for construction of Light Houses at Sebanayagapuram, Periyathurai, Panankkani and Kuyintha and  action will be taken to construct them.
