Requests of Tamil people to be submitted at Geneva handed over to Governor’s Office.

As per request of the Northern Governor Dr. Suren Ragavan, a memorandum consisting of the requests of the Tamil People to be submitted at Geneva was handed over to the Governor’s Office yesterday, by a team including former NPC Minister, Ananthy Saseetharan, M.K.Sivajilingam.

40th sessions of the UNHRC had commenced last month and is proceeding. President Sirisena had appointed Northern Governor to participate in the sessions on behalf of the Sri Lanka Government.

The Governor had earlier announced that Parliament Members representing the Northern Province , former NPC Members, NGOs and Religious dignitaries could in writing what they deem should be submitted at Geneva.

Mean while, it was also announced that the public could submit their demands for Genevw at the special counter at CM’s Office on the 13th .
