Renowned Malayalam film director Rajesh Pillai passed away today morning (Feb 27th, 2016) as confirmed by hospital sources.
He was suffering from liver cirrhosis when he was earlier admitted. During the post production of his latest film “Vettah”, he was diagnosed with Pneumonia and his condition worsened. The director known for his Malayalam movies “Traffic” and “Mili”, had last worked on his movie “Vettah” starring Manju Warrier and Kunchacko Bobban which hit the theatres only yesterday, 26th February. Work for the movie was completed while he was undergoing treatment.
Rajesh was also working on his upcoming movie in Malayalam , “Motorcycle Diaries” with actors Nivin Pauly, Vishaka Singh and Kunjacho Bobban in the cast. His last rites are planned for tommorrow. Rajesh Pillai was aged 41. (Behindwoods, 2016)
