S.Thurairajah appointed as Appeal Court Judge

Sithambarapillai Thurairajah will be taking his oath as an Appeal Court Judge at noon today, before the President, Maithripala Sirisena.

Sithambarapillai Thurairajah, who took his oath as an Attorney at Law in 1988, joined the Department of Attorney General in 1989.The constitutional Council had recommended his name for the above appointment. It is on this recommendation the  President is making the appointment today.

Hon Thurairajah who was appointed as a President’s Council at the start of this year is taking up the duties of Appeal Court Judge today.
