Sampanthan went to Paravipanchan with prior notice: says Army Spokesman

The Leader of the Opposition, Era Sampanthan had gone to the Paravipanchan Army camp with prior notice and knowledge of Army High Command,said the Army Spokesman Brigadier Jayanath Jayaweera.

He said this while speaking to the media people in Colombo. The Leader of the Opposition had gone into the army camp adhering to all needed procedures. Hence no complaint was made in any police station. He had spoken to the Army officers in Jaffna prior to his going to Kilinochchi. He had also informed the Commander of the Security Forces – Jaffna about his travelling over the phone, he said.
