The Jaffna Magistrate Court had withdrawn the self quarantine orders issued on TNPF Leader Gajendrakumar and 10 others.
The Police had not submitted any medical report that the 11 suspects had been afflicted with Corona. Therefore, if persons not afflicted are quarantined they might be subjected to inquietude and many other diseases. Hence, the order issued on 11 suspects are hereby withdrawn by the Court, said Magistrate A.Peter Paul.
Further the court also withdrew the order issued banning the commemoration.
During the hearing the AALs led by Senior AAL Anton Punithanayagam , who appeared on behalf of TNPF, and SP and OIC, Jaffna led by SSP, Jaffna , who appeared on behalf of the prosecution submitted long submissions. After hearing the submissions, the Court issued the above orders.
After the case, Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam said that they will take separate legal actions on Police and Army, who threatened the members of TNPF.
