Show my son to me before I die of Cancer: More testimonies on Missing persons

The relatives of persons who had gone missing testified in the President’s Commission which held its sitting in Jaffna Secretariat last week.

Here are some more testimonies given by the relatives of the missing persons:

My brother and Valampuri News paper reporter ,Supramanium Ramachandran (aged 37) of Thunnalai East went missing on in 2009 near the Army Camp at Kalikai junction. Some EPDP members said that he was arrested by the Army. Some relatives said that he was seen inside Vallappai Ananai vilunthan Army Camp, doing clerical work in 2012.”………….Sister,  Kamalasini.

“I believe that my younger son will be  sitting for O/L  this year in camp. My two sons Wigneswaran Uthayaraj(29) and Wigneswaran Uthayaragavan(10) went missing while coming into army control on 20.04.2009, at Iranaipalai.” …………….a father, from Chempianpattu

“My son was abducted by Gota’s men. My son Kanagaratnam Muhunthan  started for Trincomallee on 2007.05 08 but never reached Trincmalee. he had been abducted on the day when Gota’s men arrested Tamil youths at Galle Face.”  …………….a bold father, Kandiah Kanagaratnam, Karanavai.

” On 1991 July 14th we were at Mulliyan in Vettilaikerny . Army men in Mulliyan fired on us. Two of my children and I were injured. I lost contact with my four children, Rajendram Janakan(1983), Rajendram Jeyanthiny(1981), Rajendram Malini(1979), and Rajendram Thivakaran(1986). Wherever I went they my children are in their camps.Please fin my children.”

 “My daughter in law Suresh Suthamy and children Abishan, and Abiramy went missing on April 20th, while coming through Vadduvagal. My son Puspanathan Suresh went missing on May 16th, while coming through Nanthikadal. I could not find them in any army camp. I am dying slowly of Cancer. Show my son to me before I die of Cancer.” Her tears softened the commissioners who consoled her and asked her to take proper treating while they will proceed with the inquiry on their son.
