Sinhalese people who came to Neeraviyadl Pilayar premises with an intention to rob the said premises

More than 200 Sinhalese people led by 5 Buddhist monks were brought from  Colombo, Anuradhapura and Weli Oya areas in three buses led by 5 Buddhist monks to Gurukande Raja Maha Vihare which has been constructed on a part of Neeraviyadi Pillaiyar Temle, engaged in Posan worships and protesting that said land belong to them.

They engaged in Sathyagraha, led by the the Leader of the National Rights Movement,Bengamuwe Nalaka Thero .

The Buddhist monk who spoke there had said that Tamil are saying lies that this is a Hindu Temple, but Gurukanda Raja Maha Vihare existed for a long time here and no worship could be held here.

Although the Court had ordered on the 6th May that,that both should worship without disturbing the peace, the Buddhist monk had held protest demonstrations twice after that.
